    The first Supermarket Chain in Hong Kong to provide Qualifications Framework (QF) Recognition

    With the official launched of the Qualifications Framework (QF) in 2008, many industries have been gradually moving towards professional development, the retail industry is certainly no exception. In mid of May 2013, four training programs of PARKnSHOP gained Qualification Framework (QF) recognition from Education Bureau, set the precedent for the supermarket retailers. To obtain the accreditation, training programs must pass the required standards and stringent quality assurance process conducted by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). The accreditation reflects our professional qualification.
     

    The QF consists of seven academic levels covering different qualifications (please refer to the attached table). Our present QF recognized programs include 4 programs which lasted for 5 to 6 months: Certificate in Meat (Chinese) Retailing - Foundation (QF Level 2). Certificate in Meat (Western), Cheese & Deli Retailing - Foundation (QF Level 2). Certificate in Meat (Western), Cheese & Deli Retailing - Advanced (QF Level 3), Advanced Diploma in Retail Store Management - Supermarket Chain (QF Level 4). The series of meat program is design to pursue the professional requirement in meat handling.
     

    The Company always places emphasis on staff training. We offer the QF recognized training for staff to support their career development; to enhance their capabilities and competitiveness through lifelong learning.

Buyer (Bakery)

Responsibilities:
Manage the assigned product category to drive sales and meet margin target
Source and select new and exclusive products to meet customers' needs
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive price, deals and terms
Coordinate with external and internal parties to deliver the best promotion campaigns
Requirements:
University graduate or above
Minimum 4 years working experience in retail industry including 2 years solid sourcing and buying experience
Good command of written and spoken English
Strong negotiation skill, analytical and numeric ability
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Buyer

 

Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading a team of store staff to manage daily store operations and to drive store KPIs including inventory and cost control, sales and profitability, manpower planning and customer service excellence.
Requirements:
Secondary education or above
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in retail or service industry; preferably gained in food or supermarket industry
Strong commercial sense and customer oriented
Good organizing, communication and leadership skills
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Store Manager

 

Store Trainee Manager

Responsibilities:
The Store Trainee Manager Development Program is a 12-month comprehensive program including classroom training, on-job attachment and project management within the Sales Operations. The objective of the program is to provide learning opportunities for young talents to develop skills and professional expertise in retail industry, and to gain real life sales operations and managerial experience for further career development. Upon successful completion, candidates will be offered store management or equivalent positions within the Group. Along the career path, further career advancement and development opportunities in other key departments such as Sales Operations, Trading and Supply Chain will be available for candidates with outstanding performance.
Requirements:
Fresh graduates holding a Diploma or above
Passionate in developing a career in retail industry
Strong commercial sense and customer oriented
Proactive and result oriented, with the ability to take up challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic retail business environment

 

Inventory & System Officer

Responsibilities:
Responsible for clerical and administrative support in store
Requirements:
DSE or above
Proactive and energetic
Competency in computer applications such as Chinese word processing and Excel
Candidates with experience in office administration is an advantage

 

Customer Service Assistant – Ambient

Responsibilities:
Responsible for uploading, unloading and product display
Answering customer inquiries and handling daily store operations
Requirements:
Secondary education
Proactive, energetic and customer-oriented
Candidates with relevant work experience is an advantage

 

Customer Service Assistant – Checkout

Responsibilities:
Responsible for cashiering
Answering customer inquiries and handling daily store operations
Requirements:
Secondary education
Proactive, energetic and customer-oriented
Candidates with relevant work experience is an advantage

 

Customer Service Assistant–Fruit & Vegetables/Bakery/Cheese & Deli

Responsibilities:
Responsible for uploading, unloading and product display in the respective counters
Answering customer inquiries and handling daily store operations
Requirements:
Proactive, energetic and customer-oriented
Candidates with relevant work experience is an advantage

 

Overnight Store Assistant

Responsibilities:
Responsible for product display and shelf refilling
Work Hours: 9pm - 7am
Requirements:
Secondary education
Proactive and energetic
Candidates with relevant work experience is an advantage

 

Fruit & Vegetables Specialist

Responsibilities:
Responsible for quality control, product display and selling in Fruit & Vegetables counter
Requirements:
With solid product knowledge, handling & product display skills of Fruit & Vegetables
Good communication and active selling skills
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Customer Service Assistant - Fruit & Vegetables

 

Baker / Baker Trainee

Responsibilities:
Responsible for bread making and baking, product design and kitchen cleaning
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
Proactive, energetic and high awareness of personal and food hygiene
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Baker Trainee

 

Supervisor/Butcher/Butcher Trainee – Chinese/Western(Meat/Fish)

Responsibilities:
Responsible for handling, cutting, packing and selling Chinese / Western Meat or Fish
Answering customer inquiries
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
Proactive, energetic and high awareness of personal and food hygiene
Candidates with adequate experience will be considered as Supervisor
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Butcher Trainee
